AEI has focused exclusively on building ground up turnkey electric vehicle charging stations for some of the largest companies in the industry. To date we have completed close to 30 of some of the largest EV charging stations in the country as well as the world. In 2018 we completed a 63-stall charging station in San Jose. The location required 8000 amps worth of 480V power. We installed 4 underground sub structures, pulled in the primary ducts by directional drilling to minimize excessive street damage and restoration. The duct bank suppling the chargers consisted of 16- 4” GRC conduits that we ran up 4 stories into a parking structure to feed 4 2000amp load centers. This to date is that largest charging station ever built in the world surpassing the second largest in China.

We have become vertically integrated as a company and handle 99% of the construction process in house. This includes project management from start to finish. We own and operate our own directional drilling equipment, all of our own equipment for the excavation process including excavators, skid steers, underground utility locators, drilling equipment for setting parking lot light bases, super 10 dump trucks, compaction equipment, street sweepers, water buffalos, utility trailers, trench plates etc. We have our own electricians, equipment operators, commercial truck drivers, concrete masons, and asphalt workers. This streamlines the construction process for us and helps expedite the project not having to rely on sub-contractors. Our reputation in the industry has survived the test of time. For years now we have work with companies such as Tesla, Black and Veatch, Rivian as well as others. We are excited about the direction the country is moving in the EV industry and believe that we are in an excellent position to be one of the leading contractors in the ever expanding EV space!
