All SMUD Territory Applicants Must Comply with Verification
Applicants for the Sacramento County Incentive Project who receive electrical service from the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) must submit a single-line diagram to verify submeter status. Compliance with this requirement is essential to preserving your electric vehicle charger rebate.
Requirement
The single-line diagram must be supplied directly to SMUD, which will verify submeters and provide corrections or approval within 21 days. CALeVIP will not remit your rebate payment if this submeter verification requirement is not completed.
All single-line diagrams must include the following information.
- Applicant's name
- Installation address
- Service address (if different than installation address)
- GPS coordinates of charger locations
- Meter number serving chargers
- SMUD account number
- Number of chargers, kW of chargers and service panel bus rating
- Location of service panel, label as new or existing
- Rating of panel being replaced (if replacing panel)
- Main breaker rating on the panel
- Catalog number or make/model number of the equipment meter can or meter socket with cut sheet
For additional guidance and a single-line diagram example, reference SMUD's Electric Service Requirements.
